Personally, I always felt Bak Kut Teh should go with yam rice, so I wasn’t too interested in their oil rice at first—but after one bite, there was no turning back The texture and flavor pair so well with the Bak Kut Teh! My boyfriend even asked for an extra bowl of rice. Their Bak Kut Teh broth leans toward a light and naturally sweet taste, which really suits my palate ↕ The vinegar pork trotters here are also excellent! They use sweet vinegar, and the pork is cooked until soft and flavorful—I really liked it! ”

“ Good Bak Kut Teh in Subang Jaya SS14. There are several Bak Kut Teh shops along this road, Yuk Kee is the most popular outlet based on the crowds. Despite being almost full, my order came within 10 minutes. I ordered the lean meat with pork stomach and the meat was generous- however some the meat was not as tender as I wish but overall it’s still very good & enjoyable. The rice is fragrant and tasty too. ”

“ When it comes to BKT, not many will actually think of Subang Jaya. After all, this area is not exactly famous for this delicacy. However, I found out that there are actually a few BKT and shops along the stretch of double facing shoplots. Truth be told, I hardly come to this area despite studying in SS15 previously. My partner loves coming here while entertaining visitors from overseas and this time he brought me here. Lunch time and the restaurant was already buzzing with activities. Each portion of meat is priced at RM20.80 - not sure if this is a reasonable rate. The claypot comes with fu chuk and taufu pok, enoki mushroom comes in extra charges. Personally the BKT soup was good but a bit too heavy on herbal side. I found myself liking their dry style BKT and vinegar pork trotter instead. The chai boey on the other hand, sour and spicy enough but felt a bit imbalanced. Business during lunch time is good for them - everyone seem to be happy tucking into the Claypot filled with various meats. ”

“ Tried this place for the first time during a busy Sunday lunch. The Bak Kut Teh was actually very tasty and clearly popular given the crowd. However, the bean sprouts (tauge) were incredibly bland—honestly some of the most tasteless I’ve had. Do take note that it’s an open-air venue with no air conditioning, so it can get quite hot while you eat. ”

“ Came here for a simple comfort food meal, having both the BKT and vinegar pork leg. The BKT broth was flavourful and comforting, not too heavy, not too herbal, just nicely balanced. Meat portions were decent and tender, especially the ribs. The vinegar pork leg was the star for me: rich, fragrant and not overly sharp, with a good balance of sweet-sour flavour. The gravy paired perfectly with rice. Service was quick. Overall, a satisfying and homely meal. Great if you’re craving something warm and hearty. ”
